Matt McSweeney

Partner, McSweeney Holdings | President, SCA Performance

From his earliest days, Matt inherited his father’s contagious passion and enthusiasm for custom vehicles. Since the age of 6 Matt has been closely involved in the Family Business. In 1996, Matt began his professional career with Southern Comfort in the Quality Control department. In 2000, Matt assumed the responsibility as the Manager of the Retail Accessories division of Southern Comfort. These two leadership positions ultimately set the foundation of Matt’s focus on creating sales growth and ensuring a quality product. In 2003 Matt set out to start new Dealer relationships in the Southeast, USA. Shortly thereafter Matt became the leading salesman for the US Market, and remained in this position year after year constantly raising the bar and inspiring the rest of the sales force to aim higher. In 2006 Matt took the leadership position as the Sales Manager, managing 35 salesmen, selling in 49 states.

In 2009, Matt became the President of SCA Performance. Matt’s day-to-day responsibilities include sales management, chassis inventory control, internal process control development, interdepartmental communications and strategically managing to budgeted targets. While Matt certainly appreciates his success at the helm of the family business and gives God ALL the glory for His hand of blessing; he is most grateful and his truest passions in life are devoted to his wife, Suzy, and their daughter Moriah.


Michael McSweeney

Managing Partner | McSweeney Holdings

Michael is currently serving as the Managing Partner of McSweeney Holdings.  In doing so, he works in conjunction with the business development team in assessing new strategic growth opportunities and determining appropriate resource allocation. In addition to this responsibility, Michael serves as the CFO for each of the portfolio companies and assists in overseeing operations, metrics management, project management and financial process and planning. 

Prior to joining McSweeney Holdings, Michael served as a Senior Analyst for G-51 Capital Management; a seed stage venture capital firm in Austin, TX.  . Michael is an active member of the Baylor Angel Network, serves as the President of The McSweeney Foundation, and is an advisory board member for both the Birmingham International Trade Council and the Hewitt Trussville High School Academy of Business and Finance.  Michael lives in Homewood, Alabama with the love of his life, Bradi McSweeney.  Michael is very passionate about spreading the love of Jesus by working to create better educational opportunities for underprivileged children, both domestically and internationally.

Michael has completed the Executive Education in Emerging Markets at Harvard Business School, holds an MBA from Baylor University and a degree in Finance and Accounting from Middle Tennessee State University. 


Rod McSweeney

Founder and Executive Chairman

Rod started in the business in 1979 as a hobby. Rod had a passion for hot-rod cars and learned to custom paint in high school. After rebuilding a used van for personal use, a friend at a used car dealership asked Rod to build one for him. He sold it immediately and ordered 75 more that year. Rod’s destiny was set. Over the next 29 years Rod grew the business to $50 million in annual revenues, having over 100,000 vehicles on the road. Building on this rich heritage Rod is still championing the cause of cutting edge design and vehicle specialization and continues to develop innovative solutions for customer’s unique transportation needs. On any given day (or night) Rod may still be found in his own personal design lab and workshop at MCM Custom Vehicles, LLC inspiring his “dream team” of engineers in the development of the next generation of signature lifestyle enhanced luxury vehicles. Rod is married to his high school sweetheart and lifelong love, Robin McSweeney; and is honored to see his sons Matt and Michael now thriving in their own right as they carry his vision into the future. He has served on the Board of Directors of Reality Radio, Conversion Vehicle Marketing Association, General Motors – Manufacturers “Right Size” Committee, Recreational Vehicle Industry Association, Cathedral of the Cross and Parkway Christian Fellowship.


Deidre Allman

Controller | McSweeney Holdings

Deidre is currently serving as the Corporate Controller of McSweeney Holdings.  Her responsibilities include treasury management, sales to manufacturing coordination, metrics management, financial audit preparation and planning, intercompany transactions, vehicular inventory management and invoicing oversight.  Deidre has held many positions in the McSweeney organization over her 20+ year tenure and has consequently gained the organizational knowledge to oversee day-to-day operations.
